PALLETLINE RECOGNISED AMONG WEST MIDLANDS’ TOP 200 PRIVATE BUSINESSES

Palletline, the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network, has been recognised as one of the West Midlands’ leading private businesses after being named in the inaugural West Midlands LTD report by Grant Thornton.

The report ranks Palletline at number 26 in its list of the region’s top 200 privately-owned companies by turnover and highlights the strength, resilience and growth of businesses helping to drive the West Midlands economy.

Produced by Grant Thornton, the report showcases organisations across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, construction, technology, healthcare and financial services. Collectively, the businesses generated £24.5 billion in turnover, achieved EBITDA growth of more than 20 per cent and employed more than 111,000 people.

Grant Thornton said the performance of the businesses featured “underlines not only the scale of the region’s private sector but also its resilience and continued commitment to investing in people and capability.”

Founded in 1992 as the UK’s first pallet network, Palletline operates as a 100 per cent shareholder-owned organisation comprising 76 independent haulage businesses and 97 depots across the UK and Ireland.

The network handled 4.1 million pallets during 2025, with volumes forecast to rise to 4.3 million in 2026, reflecting continued momentum as the business delivers against its long-term five-year strategic plan focused on sustainable growth, operational excellence and network resilience.
