Palletline Logistics MD shortlisted for award promoting women in logistics

The Managing Director of Palletline Logistics has been shortlisted for a prestigious award which advocates women in business.

Paul Elson, who heads up the logistics arm of the Palletline network, is one of six finalists in the Male Agent of Change category in this year’s Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards.

With more than 20 years’ experience in transport and logistics Paul joined the Palletline Group in 2019, overseeing a portfolio of nine businesses nationwide.

Today, of the 436 employees who work across the group’s nine businesses, 29 per cent of the senior leadership team are women, 42 per cent of the wider management team are women and 53 per cent of the new hires and promotions in 2022 were women.

In addition, three quarters of all colleagues who successfully enrolled and completed the OCPC training course were women, alongside 100 per cent of attendees on Palletline Group’s FORS practitioner course and 40 per cent of all colleagues identified for the company’s bespoke management programme, running from 2022 to 2024.

Paul said: “Equality is at the heart of the success of Palletline Logistics and every woman who plays or has played a role in this business has helped us get to where we are today. In return, we ensure our female employees are offered every opportunity not just to progress but to shine and to shout about their successes, whether entering awards or to promote their achievements.

“The company ethos is to remain inclusive to all through flexible working and secondment opportunities, and to continue to expand our employee benefits scheme, such as discounts, wellbeing and mental health support, and reward and recognition programmes.”

The event takes place at The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square, London, on June 28th.
