Fork Lift Truck Operatives, Nights

Network Service Manager (Field Based)

Closing date: 30th November 2021

   

The role:

  • Ensure all vehicles and pallets are safely and carefully tipped from vehicles/loaded onto the outbound vehicle, in accordance with Company procedures
  • Ensure that Company equipment issued to you is safely and appropriately handled in accordance with Company procedures
  • Ensure that any incidents (people, property, pallets) are reported immediately to your Section Leader, in accordance with Company procedures
  • Ensure that Company procedures regarding Health & Safety in the hub, and handling of freight, are followed at all times
  • Ensure that the hub area is kept clean and tidy
  • Provide holiday/sickness cover for team members as necessary

The role:

The primary focus of the role will be to support Members in a customer facing capacity, ensuring they are compliant with the ‘Palletline Charter’ following the procedure of systems and rules.

The role involves reviewing Members performance levels regularly through a set of KPI’s, mentoring and offering advice on areas for development, providing and agreeing up on relevant plans of action.

   

The requirements:

  • Fork Lift Truck counterbalance licence holder (clean)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of a fast-moving distribution warehouse
  • Able to learn all bay locations within the hub
  • Able to consistently follow Company procedures
  • Pro-active attitude towards duties
  • Commitment to role
  • Flexibility within role 
  • Able to work using own initiative
  • Excellent team working / building skills

The requirements:

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within a multi-site palletised environment.

They will possess excellent communication skills (verbally, written and presentation) along with an ability to be persuasive, assertive and obtain a method to think equally on both a strategic and operational level.

An intermediate level of IT is essential, along with familiarity of Excel, Word and Power Point.
