Palletline London is Shortlisted for The Prestigious Safe Vehicles Award by The Road Safety Charity Brake

Brake's annual Fleet Safety Awards are open to entrants from anywhere in the world (with the exception of Australasian organisations, who are invited to enter Brake's Australasian Fleet Safety Awards). The award winners are announced at a prestigious event in the UK that brings together fleet operators and suppliers to celebrate and share best practice in managing road risk.

Ellie Pearson, professional engagement manager at Brake, says: “We’ve been incredibly impressed by Palletline and their entry into our Fleet Safety Awards. It is fantastic that they are making a real effort to end the needless crashes on our roads as a result of at-work drivers. Our judges now have the difficult task of choosing the winners and we wish Palletline the best of luck and look forward to seeing them all at our awards dinner.”

Mark Saggers, Depot Manager at Palletline London, says: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. When I first started at Palletline London in August 2014 the fleet looked as if it had just returned from a war zone during a bombing raid, it was frankly unfit for purpose and not a great sight for customers. However we slowly managed to turn the fleet around with the help of fleet suppliers AllPorts. Our standards were rising all the time, accidents were falling and with our close relationship with KTIB insurers, we started to install cameras front and rear and also left turn alarms. Insurance claims were running at 152% of premium and at last count had dropped to 64%. We constantly monitor our fleet on a daily basis. Due to the fleet improving and thanks to the skills and contribution of the departments in Palletline London, we applied for the FORS Silver accreditation, which we have now achieved. Allied with the FORS accreditation and our insurance costs dropping considerably due to less claims, we entered the prestigious Brake award for Safe Vehicles.”

The awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers. Entries are invited from organisations running any type and size of fleet, and from companies that provide products or services to fleets, who have worked to improve safety. The winners are announced at a celebratory gala dinner in September 2016. The evening provides a fantastic networking opportunity for attendees.

Good luck Palletline London!
