Palletline Celebrates 25 Years of Success

Press Release

2017 is proving to be an exciting year for Palletline, as not only did they celebrate their 25th year in business with a grand event a few weeks ago, which the companies' national operations hub turned into a venue to match that of any luxury conference centre, but simultaneously launched the brand new Palletline.com website.

Graham Leitch, Managing Director, Palletline Plc commented - "Palletline was the first pallet network in the UK, so we are rightly proud of our heritage and our success. Since our first trading day in 1992 we became the pioneers of the new sector we had created, and therefore it's not without surprise that quarter of a century on we are still the pioneers amongst our peers. Whether it be new services, technology, innovative hub operations and of course our flagship health and safety achievements, we at Palletline remain committed to further developing our industry for the better."

Twenty-five years is a long time in life, and especially in the life of a modern day business, wherein changing times, technologies and even recession can hamper or cause a business to fail. Some things though are said to stand the test of time and adapt to everchanging conditions.

Graham Leitch commented - "We at Palletline agree with both of those sentiments, after all the core structure of the Palletline business as the only wholly owned network has certainly stood the test of time, and looks set to serve us equally well over the next quarter of a century. Furthermore, and just as importantly of course, we have continually evolved our services, processes and technologies to meet the demands of an ever-changing marketplace, enabling us not only to survive but also to thrive."

Each year Palletline targets and focuses its members on ever increasing network standards, and for the 25th year extra focus was put on key Palletline strengths with awards for such areas as Quality, Health and Safety, Service and the Environment, to name but a few.

Award winners:

"We were delighted to receive two awards at the landmark anniversary Palletline event. Health and Safety and our work to protect the Environment are two areas where we have made concerted efforts over recent years and it is nice to have those efforts recognised." Neil Rushworth, Managing Director and Palletline founder member - Expect Distribution Ltd

"It was fantastic to win the Quality award at the 25th anniversary awards evening. The award is testament to the team at P19 (Gregory Distribution) who work tirelessly to ensure we give a quality service to our network customers and colleagues." Darren Beaven, Business Unit Director - Gregory Distribution Ltd
