Palletline Invests in IT Management
In a drive to maintain a leading edge in the field of pallet distribution, Palletline Plc continues to invest in developing business IT infrastructure in support of its market leading systems with the appointment of Helen Dickinson as General Manager for Administration and IT.
Helen brings to the Palletline team a wealth of experience in implementing and managing complex IT systems for comparable hub and spoke-based systems in other industries, including the design and introduction of track and trace facilities and the establishment of call centres.
Her role at Palletline will be to focus on the continued development of the IT function, which is seen by the company as integral to business development and continued growth.
Helen will use her knowledge and experience to continue to build structures into the Palletline processes, acting as an interchange between Member Companies and the central hub, strengthening the support function and bringing together processes and procedures to keep the company at the forefront of developing technology.
As General Manager for Administration as well as IT, Helen will also focus on training and full utilisation of the skills of her team. “At Palletline, we are very fortunate to have a proactive and experienced team already in place, with a detailed understanding of the business processes,” she stated. “My role is to ensure this experience is fully utilised to the benefit of Member Companies and stakeholders, helping us to streamline and automate processes in line with developments in system performance, innovation and flexibility.”
Kevin Buchanan, Managing Director for Palletline, underlines the importance of this appointment. “Helen joins Palletline in a vital role as a key member of our senior management team, bringing a wealth of experience in driving major IT projects which is expected to make an important contribution to maintaining Palletline’s position at the leading edge of technology in our industry,” he said.
