On Your Bike for the Cancer Charities

Sometimes the only thing you can do is get on your bike! Palletline is pleased and proud to sponsor dental technician Gareth Morgan and his wife Catherine, a dental hygienist, of Fairford in Gloucestershire, who are training hard for a five-day charity cycle ride due to take place in India, in November of this year.

Both Gareth and Catherine’s families have been affected by cancer over the past few years, and the couple were looking to make a positive fundraising contribution to cancer charities Children with Leukaemia, Ovarian Cancer, The Lymphoma Association and Cancerbackup, following the success last year of a fundraiser in aid of the Cotswold Care Hospice.

As Gareth and Catherine are covering all their own costs and need to raise at least £2,500 in charitable donations in order to participate in the Action for Charity Challenge, Palletline stepped in to offer funds to contribute towards the project.

The couple also plans a Bollywood night on Saturday 6 September 2008 as a key fundraiser, held at Farmers School in Fairford, featuring the colourful Bollywood Beats Bangra Band.

Action for Charity’s Big Cycle Challenge involves an amazing 370km ride through Rajasthan – the Land of Kings – where the Morgans will cycle as part of a group through rural India, passing villages and temples along the way and staying in accommodation ranging from campsites to an Indian palace.
