Palletline Focuses on a Strong Scottish Service

In line with the company’s established total quality philosophy, Palletline continues to focus on achieving further network improvements north of the border in Scotland. Last month saw Drummond Distribution making the switch from Pall-Ex to join the Palletline team, strengthening service levels in and around the Edinburgh area.

Established in 1927, Drummond Distribution is one of Scotland’s longest established and most reliable parcel and pallet delivery companies. The company carries a diverse range of products, specialising in the manufacturing and industrial market sectors, operating from a 30,000ft distribution depot located close to the M8 motorway midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The decision to move to Palletline was based on Drummonds’ drive to further improve levels of quality and service for its customer base.

“Identified day to day service issues led us to research the pallet network market in depth, and we were initially attracted to Palletline because of the quality and stability of the Member Company network,” stated Commercial Manager Damon Burns. “All palletised distribution services rely on the quality and consistency of their partners to maintain levels of quality, and we saw membership of Palletline as an important step in further enhancing levels of customer service. It’s still early days, but now that we are operating as part of the Palletline network, we are already seeing positive results.”

Equally, Palletline was working to strengthen its service offering in Scotland with the recruitment of quality new partners. “Our impending move later this year to new Hub premises and our focus on the implementation of total quality control procedures matched Drummond Distribution’s operational requirements,” stated Managing Director Kevin Buchanan.
