Palletline Invests for Business in Wales
Palletised distribution specialists Palletline have announced further strategic developments within the network in
Third generation family distribution company T D Williams Ltd joins the Palletline line-up in South Wales, following the company's relocation from Ammanford in Camarthen to Waterton Point in Bridgend earlier this year.
T D Williams' decision to relocate further east in line with the business plan to upgrade facilities and create space for planned growth also prompted the company to review its geographical pallet network membership requirements.
"We work principally in a time-critical FMCG environment, and our business is driven by the demand for on-time delivery every time," stated Managing Director Andrew Williams. "Our existing association with the HazChem network has consistently demonstrated the flexible approach of Palletline Member Companies and their ability to respond to customers' individual needs. When we investigated our options from our new location, membership of Palletline was an obvious choice."
Commenting for Palletline, Managing Director Kevin Buchanan underlined the synergy between the two organisations. "Restructuring our service in
T D Williams began as a coal merchant back in the 1920s. The business developed into distribution in the early 1960s, and today runs a fleet of 75 vehicles serving the FMCG and grocery markets. 2008 is on schedule to yield business growth of between 10-12%, assisted by the relocation and exposure to an expanded market.
