Palletline Plc - The pioneers of palletised distribution networks.

Back in 1992, the launch of the Palletline system represented one of the biggest fundamental changes in UK based haulage for decades. Palletline effectively revolutionised the market for palletised freight distribution by creating an innovative and highly efficient hub and spoke based operation.

Before Palletline, if you had a consignment to go from one end of the UK to another, your local haulier would need to service that on his own fleet or find an ad hoc solution for getting it there!

The creation of the Palletline system meant that like-minded, quality hauliers could exchange freight at a central point for delivery in their local area. This meant that all the freight outside of their area was consolidated on one trunk vehicle and sent to the Palletline Hub.

This immediately meant that their efficiency was improved tremendously and the cost of transporting smaller palletised shipments throughout the UK was drastically reduced.

As the success of the Palletline System became evident, more and more hauliers wanted to offer a similar service and the Palletised Delivery Networks were born.
